Human Trafficking Awareness Forum

January is Human Trafficking Month. The CAC along with Fayetteville Alumnae Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will host a Human Trafficking Forum on January 23 at 6:30 p.m. The forum will take place at the Kiwanis Recreation Center at 352 Devers Street. The panel will include Dr. Dean Duncan, Research Professor from UNC Chapel Hill; Senior Sergeant Adam Farnham, Cumberland County Sherriff’s Office Project No Rest; Det. Mike Hardin, Fayetteville Police Department Human Trafficking Division; Pam Strickland, NC Coalition against Human Trafficking; and Pete Twedell, Five Sparrows.  We will also hear from a survivor of Human Trafficking during the forum. Questions concerning human trafficking in and around our community including specific issues that impact children who are trafficked will be discussed. The community is invited to come and join us in a discussion about this issue. We will hear what is happening and what we can do as community to respond to this issue.
