Dorothy’s house from the Wizard of Oz blew into Highland Country Club on October 6, 2012 for the annual Blue Jean Ball and Chair-ity Auction. Visitors walking down the yellow brick road, leading into the Emerald City, had the opportunity to bid on hand-painted and decorated chairs created by local artists along with numerous silent auction packages. Toucan Jam entertained the adults in the ballroom while youth had their own party with a DJ in a separate room. The photo booth was enjoyed by all and created lasting memories of a fun filled night. It takes months of planning and long hours to have a truly successful special event fundraiser and this year’s Blue Jean Ball & Chair-ity Auction Committee worked very hard to ensure another successful year for the event.
